Each person has one evidenced profile. Scotland-wide figures sit under the work they changed; people connected to a particular railway also appear through that line. A person may belong to more than one line without duplicating their story.

More people are being researched. The working register currently contains 24 national-profile candidates. Route research also records collective stories where individual names have not yet been recovered. A named person appears publicly only after their railway connection, core claims, sources and image decision have passed review.
