Named locomotives on the final weekend

WRHA records D8583 and D8606 working over the line on Saturday 4 January 1969. Late on 5 January, D8606 left Hawick at 23.19 on a proving run ahead of the final southbound sleeper, became blocked at Newcastleton and returned from Kershopefoot. It did not haul or pilot the sleeper.
